Merchant of Record Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle collects payment, applies any sales tax or VAT due, and issues your invoice.

What you can pay for - Memberships — Free, Basic, Pro and Network, billed monthly in advance. - Marketplace orders — buying a freelancer's listed service, paid up front into escrow. - Customisation and hosting orders — one-off or recurring work purchased from us. - Checkout add-ons — video sessions, priority handling, highlighted listings, premium placement and priority payout.

Current prices are shown on the pricing page and at checkout, and the amount charged at checkout is always the authoritative one.

Escrow Funds for marketplace orders are held after payment and are not available to the freelancer until: 1. the buyer approves the delivered work, or 2. the review window closes and the order auto-releases.

If an issue is reported during the review window the release is paused while it is reviewed.

Earnings and platform fees Your membership tier sets how much of each order you keep: Free 60%, Basic 70%, Pro 80%, Network 90%. The remainder is the platform fee. The split is calculated when funds are released and is shown on every wallet entry.

Wallet and payout schedule Released earnings appear in your wallet and move through three states: held (in escrow), pending (released, maturing) and available (ready to be paid out).

  • Standard payouts are distributed once a month.
  • Accelerated payouts — earnings mature within one week when the order includes the priority payout add-on, or when your plan includes weekly payouts.

Taxes Paddle handles sales tax and VAT on your purchases. As a freelancer, you are responsible for reporting and paying tax on the earnings you receive.

Currency and fees Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Your bank or card issuer may apply conversion or cross-border fees that are outside our control.

Failed payments If a membership payment fails, the provider retries. If it keeps failing your membership may be downgraded to Free, which changes your retention rate for orders released afterwards.

Questions Billing questions can be raised through paddle.net or by opening a support ticket from your dashboard.
